It is the most diversified from among the collections of the Industry and Technology Museum, currently exposed in the lamp room, but also in the form of mining machines and devices in the area of the whole Centrum Nauki i Sztuki Stara Kopalnia (en. “Former Mine” Science and Art Centre). It includes several collections:
Artistic and historic museum collections related to the history of Wałbrzych mining, mining tradition, holiday and ceremony celebrations, and sport in Wałbrzych.
Archive museum collections: technical documentation connected with the operations of Wałbrzych mines, especially including the documentation of former Julia Bituminous Coal Mine (“Thorez”).
